Etching is the cause of these seemingly transparent or chalky dull spots as seen in the photo at the top of the page. Water stains are yet another common stain that occurs on marble. Water stains are a common issue with marble countertops but pure water will not stain or damage marble. Water spots and dull spots on marble vanity tops or countertops are a common marble repair issue on both honed and polished surfaces.

Marble countertops and other surfaces are no stranger to ink stains. They may look lighter clear or the same color as your marble. However they are not caused by water. Hydrogen peroxide is suitable for light marble colors.

The dull spots are etch marks caused by acidic foods drinks and cleaners. Rub the paste into the stain with a soft cloth. When a glass is set down on a marble table condensation can drip down the outside of the glass and create a pool of water. Other safe cleansers include acetone which is suitable for dark marble colors.

Buff hard water accumulations using. Step 2 wipe with a damp cloth and dry with a clean cloth. And on lighter marble colors you may only notice the spots from certain viewing angles or depending on the light hitting the surface. This stain is not permanent and can be easily cleaned up.

These stains can be the result of a water glass that was left on a marble countertop for too long or from hard water buildup around sinks and showers. Plain water can also be effective for keeping marble spotless. Rinse the paste away with clear water. Dry with a soft cloth.

Lemon juice damage is the worst. Marble tables are highly susceptible to water rings and water marks. Add enough mb 11 polishing powder to cover the stain. Add the polishing powder.

Spray the polishing powder 2 to 3 times with the spray bottle to dampen the polishing powder. Unsure which marble polishing powder.
